China Reflection

For those of you who are just looking for a place to sit, relax, and chat, China Reflection also offers weekly discussion corners in our office near Hou Hai in the center of the city. This area is close to Gulou (drum tower), Zhonglou (Bell Tower), and both Beihai and Jingshan parks. If you have some spare time during your visit in Beijing, feel free to come to our offices for conversation, snacks, and tea or wine. These Conversation Corners are free and relaxing. They require no preparation on the part of the guest. We just offer this service for those tourists and locals who want a chance to converse with foreigners in English or Chinese.

Being that English is a necessary language skill for most Chinese, it will benefit locals to have the chance to converse on a friendly basis with foreigners they might never get the chance to meet with otherwise. Additionally, as the Chinese language and economy spread like wildfire across the globe, proficiency in Chinese has become more of must in today’s world. The best way to get started with oral Chinese is through conversation with native speakers. Regardless of your language interest, we hope that you will join us and give our Conversation Corner a try. If you are a foreigner living in Beijing, it is also a good way to meet local Chinese.

We will alternate the conversation corners between English and Chinese, usually meeting on Saturdays. If you cannot come one week, feel free to come the next time as we always welcome newcomers with interest.
