Music Shop Employee
Begin the morning by learning about the different instruments in the shop. Afterwards, the owner or other worker in the shop will train you for your “work” (i.e. to introduce instruments to customers). For example, if a customer wants to come in and hear how a certain piano sounds, you will be the one to give a demonstration to them. If they want to hear a guitar, this will also be your task. For those of you who are not musically inclined, this is a great chance to get some exposure, and a chance to play musical instruments for people who are not going to judge you at all. For those of you who are musically inclined, this is also a good chance to show your skills to a willing audience. At the end of the day, in addition to your certificate, you’ll also be given a small traditional Chinese instrument to take back with you and play for your friends and family.
Because China Reflection is devoted to low impact ecotourism, we have arranged our gathering points near metro stations for your convenience. Despite being overcrowded at times, Beijing has a safe and efficient metro system. By using this system, guests help to support public transportation, as well as having a chance to experience real Beijing from a more environmentally conscious viewpoint. From our meeting points we try to walk, ride bicycles or use public transport as much as possible to get to the final destination.
